The crypto market has been down for quite some time now following the trend of the broader market. Because of this, a lot of projects have stalled or closed down.
Here at WISH Pool, we have done the opposite and are taking this market downturn as a perfect opportunity to further strengthen the pool. Some key improvements include:
A new relay has been created with better specs and located nearer to our other server infrastructure for better performance. Our old EU relay has thus been decommissioned. Along with our hidden relay for resiliency, this keeps our infrastructure at 3 redundant relays at any point in time.
Testnet upgraded to v1.35 and has been successfully minting blocks. Mainnet will only be upgraded when all the kinks has been cleared up including leaderlog calculations.
To cement our commitment to running WISH Pool, we have already purchased new hardware to upgrade both Testnet and Mainnet. The upgrade is currently in progress in anticipation of the higher memory and disk requirements after the Vasil hard fork.
After these upgrades are completed, all of the infrastructure we bought a year ago would have been replaced. We are only able to do this with your continued support. Thank you once again.
We have sent our regular monthly donation to the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Fund in support of the education of children in need:
On a personal note, I’d like to thank everyone for your continuous support of WISH Pool. I also want to apologise for the delayed blog update as I had been ill due to COVID. I am sick but well enough to write again and hopefully on the way to a full recovery.
